Here’s a very good post to read about blogging in the classroom. One of Mr Fisher’s students answered some questions about blogging.
I would really like to know what you think about it so leave a comment here on this post. Click here to read it.
I also posted a screen capture image on our class wiki reminding you how to find another school’s blog so that you can read someone’s blog and make a comment on it.

4:30 am, perfect timing thought Kawekakea as he left in his mini-van to go to TIS. Today Kawekakea was going to Happy Valley to go skiing with some of his friends from TIS.
Here are some pictures of Kawekakea’s first time on ski slopes of Whakapapa.

What a cool day!

Hello Room 18! I’ve met lots of people over the last few days. Today I shook hands with Mr McIntosh.
Ms H went to his workshop on Podcasting Like A Pro and now she’s going to teach you all how to voxpop!
I also got a hug from Mrs Rachel Boyd from Nelson - you know - the teacher with the 6-7 year old bloggers down in Nelson. (I hope I get to go there one day.)

The highlight of the my day would have to be meeting Mini-Dylan. (I met his “mum” the other day). We shared a few stories about our adventures and I hope that we can meet again soon! He’s a very interesting character because he likes to hide in his teacher’s handbag all the time.

Ms H was very kind and took me to the conference dinner. Check out that plate of food! It was delicious!
I didn’t get up on the dance floor but I did listen to Elvis (yes, he did enter the building) and the Beat Girls. Ms H didn’t dance either - she didn’t want to leave me sitting by myself at the table.

Hi everyone in Room18. I’m in Auckland with Ms H at the ULearn07 Conference which is all about Personalising Learning in a Digital World.
It was a long drive up here and Ms H did very well to keep driving on the road as we got into Auckland City. It was raining soooooooo hard I couldn’t see the road so I don’t know how well Ms H could see it! We went for a walk to explore the Sky Tower and Sky Conference Centre before ULearn07 started - if you look closely, that’s me on the podium where the keynote speakers speak!
Doesn’t the sky tower look fabulous all lit up in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month too?
Didn’t Ms H take a fantastic photo?

Today I got to meet Allanah K from Appleby School (You know, Mini-Dylan’s “mum”). I going to meet up with Mini-Dylan tomorrow and I’m very excited about that! I also visited the Sitech Stand to say hello to Jenny and Gary and to see what cool new stuff they have for us to try out next.
Can you see me in all that yellow??
Ms H has been learning some more things about UMAJIN and is bringing back a new, better version to use in the classroom. She’s got a demo of Inspiration to let you all have a go with and compare with Freemind. I went with her to a really good presentation on Inquiry Learning this afternoon and I have to say that she has learnt a few tips to help put the fun back into our Inquiry Unit.
